109. Joann Matouk Romain Part 2 of 2

On this week's episode of Speculating Wildly About Crime, Jamie and Kristy conclude their two-part investigation into the mysterious death of Joann Romain Matouk. In this episode, they will discuss the discovery of her body 70 days after she disappeared from outside St. Paul Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. They also explore the troubling questions surrounding the official ruling of suicide, including the condition of Joann's clothing and boots after being found nearly 35 miles away on the Canadian side of the Detroit River. They will then get into some very interesting and conflicting autopsy opinions, as well as evidence that was never tested or was discarded. And of course, will discuss the family's long-running fight to have the investigation reopened. While Joann's death remains officially classified as a suicide, her family continues to maintain that she was the victim of homicide and has spent years seeking answers they believe have never been fully investigated.
