103. SWAC SNACK: Gretchen Fleming Update

Hosts Jamie and Kristy share a brief update on the Gretchen Fleming case from Parkersburg, West Virginia, originally covered in Episode 59. Gretchen was last seen December 4, 2022 after bar-hopping; police initially questioned a man named John but ruled him out, and focused on Preston Pierce (also known as Daryl Lott), who said he gave her a ride and dropped her downtown without her purse or phone. After an earlier search of his former home in November 2024 found nothing, a hunter discovered human remains in September 2025, later identified as Gretchen’s in April/May 2026, reportedly on property tied to Pierce’s sister. Pierce was arrested May 15, 2026 in North Carolina, extradited, and indicted for first-degree murder, felony murder, kidnapping, and concealment/disposal of a body; he was arraigned June 11 without bond and remains in custody as the hosts anticipate a trial in 2027 or later.
